Mofiyin and Jasmine’s story began at Purdue University in 2019. What started as a twist of fate, when Mofiyin’s best friend, Zurum, gave up his resident assistant position and Jasmine was hired to fill in, turned into something life-changing. Mofiyin still remembers Jasmine walking into their first staff meeting with her gorgeous smile, curly hair, and radiant personality. A few weeks later, a simple favor, borrowing his computer to finish an assignment, led to an all-night conversation, and by the next month, they were officially together. Just six months into their relationship, the pandemic hit, and they found themselves navigating nearly six years of long distance.
